Candle Care

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR CANDLE:
  • Trim your wick to approx 6mm before every burn, make sure you are removing the 'mushroom' (carbon build up at the top of the wick). To do this you can use wick trimmers, nail clippers, scissors or something similar.
  • Keep your candle free from any foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings.
  • Candles have a memory - when burning, (especially on the first burn) ensure you have a melt pool that has reached all the way to the edge of the jar to prevent tunnelling. This can take up to 4 hours.
  • Never leave a lit candle unattended, keep out of reach of children and pets and away from open windows/drafts.
  • Only burn your candle on a flat level surface.
  • Do not burn your candle for longer than 4 hours at a time.
  • Use the lid to extinguish the flame safely.
  • Discontinue use when there is 10mm of wax remaining. Failure to do this can result in the jar exploding.
  • Burn time depends on the conditions you are burning your candle in.
  • The tops of your candle may look rough and bumpy after burning, please know this is not a defect and is a sign that your candle is made using 100% natural wax.
